Adstock MIST - a Management Information System, integrates various functions of an Educational System and allows the management personnel to access the required information instantly from the Internet or Intranet. This software is designed for managing one or more educational institutions effectively and efficiently. Adstock MIST is a full featured product which has benefited immensely from the feedback received from experts with decades of experience in the field of Education. Adstock MIST is a web based Management Information System software. Adstock Mist is fully scalable, and can accommodate the growth of the Institution. Adstock MIST is an N-Tier architecture based solution, maximizing flexibility to add new features and upgrade existing features as required.

Each of the major modules in this product are described below:

Hostel Management
Generic Attribute Builder allows the user to add hostels. Each hostel can have any number of Blocks, Rooms etc. Room Size, occupancy / occupants are defined. Queries can be run to search the student's dues and fines etc.,

MIS Reports
This Module provides List of Management Information System Reports to be viewed by the management personnel.

Transportation Management
This module lists the vehicles of the College, their usage, expenses and availability for a purpose. Provision to print Bus Passes is built in the system.

Accounts Module
The Accounts module would be consolidated with other modules such as - Pre-admission Module, Student Details, Fee Management, Hostel Management, Library Management, Staff Salary, Asset Management, Transportation and Examination. The Accounts Module has general features such as:

Group Creation,
Ledger Creation,
Day Book,
Cash Book,
Vouchers, -Receipts, Contra, Journal, Payment Vouchers, Purchase Vouchers
Ledger Reports
Voucher Reports
P&L Report,
Trail Balance Sheet. etc., to name a few. Freedom is provided for the user to make general changes towards customization.

Accounts Module must be installed separately for each college that belong to the institution. However provision exists to centralize the accounts section at the Trust Office.

Asset Management Module
The generic system of Asset Purchase and Management are followed in this module. The flow of the system would be:    

The requirement indents are generated by the staff
Quotations are entered to the system as per the equirement indent.
Based on management decisions the quotations are processed
The purchase order is generated based on the requirement indents.
Based on the purchase orders, assets are received at central stores
Assets are transferred or shifted to the required locations from the central stores.
Ticket system, wherein a report is sent on receipt of assets at the location such that the payments are released.
Provisions for repurchases, returns, breakages etc.,
Depreciation calculations for assets
Consumables purchase is also followed with the same procedure.

Consumable
This module manages purchase of consumables, usage and prepares reports required by the management.

Online Class Module
This module provides the user to add heading, sub-heading and class topics. Allows staff to add / modify class topic files into the server database. Course, term and subjects are defined while entering topics. Staff can add / modify the media references. This module allows the student to view the data in within the structure prescribed by the staff. A search engine is also provided.

Online Examination Module
This module allows staff to define and update the exam category. Provison exists to specify the online question paper. Online exam results can also be generated after completion.

HRD Management Module
This module is basically designed to cater to the placement and campus recruitment processes. This module contains the details of all corporate companies that have a relation with the college management for various vacancies. This also keeps track of students who attended interviews and their status.

Opinion Poll (Performance Evaluation) Module
Graphical Interface is provided for user to cast his/her voting with respect to the performance of staff, student, policy and events happening at Institute. Based on the poll results, management will be able to make necessary policy or implementation decisions and corrections.

Internal Chat - Messaging System
This module supports chat sessions internally within the organization. This module enables all the staff / students to co-ordinate with each other, so that instant communication is possible.

Bulletin Board
This module provides a forum for discussion among the users. All the discussion contents are saved within the system. Advanced search option is provided to retrieve discussions on any topic. Administrator will have rights to create discussion channels.

Internal E Mail Solution
Each user of the MIS System will be provided with an email address. This module will interface with SMTP and POP servers of the institution where the software is deployed. This enables to send or communicate with the user even while is off line.

E-Notice Board
One or multiple messages / news / notices could be displayed in a dynamic way. Easy and user friendly user interface is provided to edit the notice board.

Data Backup Provisions
Backup can be made based on the requirement of the institution for various types of backup techniques like mirroring, tape back up etc.

Online Payment Application
Adstock has a relationship with a financial clearing house where they provide secured (certified) payment gateway along with our software interface. This module helps remote parents (eg., NRI) to pay for the education of their children.

Networking
LAN or WAN integration, Remote Access Server setup as per clients requirements.
